Deleting your account and your data

Delete it from inside the game

This is the quickest way, and it takes effect immediately.

Open Croc Hop
Tap the gear button on the main menu
Tap Delete my account at the bottom of the settings card
Confirm with Delete everything

Your account is erased from our servers straight away. The game then starts you off as a completely new player on the same phone.

What is deleted

Everything we hold that is connected to your account, permanently and immediately:

Your player name and your account ID
Your best score and your place on the leaderboard
Your profile picture, if you set one
Your coins, and every cosmetic item you own or have equipped
Your friends list, and any pending friend requests
Your duel history and any ranked rating
Your daily goal progress and total playtime
Any bug reports or ideas you sent us

This cannot be undone. We keep no backup copy of a deleted account from which it could be restored.

What is kept

Nothing that identifies you. Deleting removes your row entirely rather than anonymising it.

Two things are worth being precise about:

Anything saved on your own phone stays on your phone until you uninstall the game or clear its data. We cannot reach it and never could.
Our hosting provider keeps ordinary server logs for a short period as part of running the service. These are not linked to your account and are not used to rebuild it.

If you cannot open the game

If you have lost the phone, uninstalled the game, or cannot reach the settings screen, email us and we will delete the account for you:

Include your player code if you know it - it is the eight digit number on the Friends screen. If you do not have it, tell us the player name you used and roughly when you last played, and we will find the account. We will confirm by email once it is done.

Requests are handled within 30 days, and usually much sooner.
